Pakistan Bureau of Statistics PBS invites applications for the following position mentioned as follows. Term of appointment is five (05) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for such term or terms, subject to satisfactory performance. The individual will cease to hold the post on completion of the term or attaining the age of sixty-five (65) years whichever is earlier, Those already in Government Services should apply through proper channel. Positions Vacant:
1. Chief Statistician
Qualification / Experience required for job: Masters or an advanced university degree preferably Ph.D. in the relevant subject, such as Statistics or Economics preferably from a leading International University recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Experience in managing large databases, national statistical surveys, compiling and analyzing National Income Accounts, Economic Statistics, and related areas. Proven leadership and research record in various national and international social/economic issues, Statistical Data Analysis, and input to policy formulation in large organizations. Knowledge and experience in analyzing computer base data/ statistical information and the use of advanced computer software.
Skills required: Professional with demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics, national and international economic and management skills having minimum 20 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management position in organizations of significant size and importance.
