Essential Qualification & Experience: a.For general University, a Ph.D. in any discipline with a good academic record. In the case of the discipline of Law, the relevant terminal qualification would be LLM(Law) or JD; b.For an Engineering university, Ph.D. in a field of engineering with a basic degree in B.Sc Engineering; and c.For a Technology University, a Ph.D. in the field of Technology. d.Experience of at least 15 years teaching/research in a recognized university or postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization; e.Excellent research publication record that, at a minimum, meets the criteria for appointment as Professor in the university with a minimum of fifteen peer-reviewed and Higher Education Commission-recognized research publications. f.At least 5 years of administrative/ postdoctoral research experience in the field of Higher Education; g. Execution of at least one major research project; h.Experience in working with international bodies or international exposure through participation in workshops, seminars, or conferences held outside the country; i. Experience in organizing events such as workshops, seminars conferences at an international level within the country in the field of higher education; Demonstrated experience in leadership. Desirable Experience, Expected Skills, and Competencies: The Academic Search Committee may consider the desirable experience, expected skills, and competencies as provided in Part B & C of Schedule II of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012.

The Academic Search Committee shall shortlist the eligible candidates. b.The Academic Search Committee shall have the mandate to search and head-hunt persons eligible under the Criteria for the position of Vice-Chancellor. c.The Academic Search Committee after interviewing the shortlisted candidates shall recommend a panel of three suitable candidates to the Provincial Government which shall recommend one candidate to the Chancellor for approval. d.The maximum age of the candidate on the last date for submission of the application shall not exceed 62 years e. Higher Education Archives & Libraries Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies. Closing Date for Receipt of Applications: a. The application, complete in all respects and supported with all documents, must reach to the office of the Deputy Secretary (Universities-0, Higher Education, Archives & Libraries Department, Civil Secretariat, Peshawar on or before 25th September 2023 closing of office hours. b.Incomplete applications/applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.
