Positions Announced:

1. Junior Procurement Specialist

An advanced degree in a suitable discipline or field of study, preferably in civil engineering from a recognized university, and At least 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement of goods, works, and consultancies. Experience on donor-funded projects shall be an important advantage, Strong experience in contract management, particularly works and consultancy services contracts, Excellent written and oral communication skills, in both English and Urdu, to develop and process complex technical documents, reports, papers, and recommendations. Familiarity with World Bank Procurement Software STEP shall be a given additional advantage

2. Environmental Specialist

Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences/ Engineering (or a relevant discipline) from a recognized university 8 years of relevant experience in preparation and implementation, and monitoring/supervision of environmental impact assessment and environmental management plan of various projects, preferably in the municipal services sector Well versed with national and international standards for Environment Quality Experience in occupational health and safety and community health and safety is preferred. Experience of similar work on World Bank-financed projects using the World Bank Safeguard Policies and EHS Guidelines and procedures will be a strong advantage Well-developed planning and organization skills to manage environment safeguards for multi-sectoral municipal projects Excellent written and oral communication skills, in both English and Urdu, to deliver complex technical documents, reports, papers and recommendations to the PIU.

3. Financial Management Specialist

ACA, ACMA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), Masters in Accounting and Finance, or MS Finance, M.Com. 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in financial management, including a minimum of 3 years experience of working in Foreign-Aided Development/Non-Development Projects in a similar role. Good communication skills and have experience working with Finance Department/Division, Auditor General of Pakistan Office, Office of Accountant General, and Planning Department/Commission. Prior experience of working with Local Councils, and donor-funded and public sector projects will be accorded due weightage. Demonstrated Computer skills (Proficiency in using computer desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Age should not be more than 35 years.
