Job Description:
Applications are invited, on the prescribed application form to be downloaded from the University of Malakand website (www.uom.edu.pk) from eligible Pakistani nationals for the following position(s) on a regular basis:
Positions Vacant:
1. Professor of Commerce & Management Sciences (BPS- 21/TTS)
The number of vacant posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: PhD. from an HEC recognized institution in the relevant field with 15 years of teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate institute or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. OR PhD. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field with 10 years post-PhD. teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization
No. of Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.
TTS: Ph.D./Relevant terminal qualification from a recognized and reputable institution in the relevant filed with either 11 years post-PhD/relevant terminal degree or minimum of 7 years of post-PhD experience with at least 12 years of experience prior to the Ph.D. The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/research in a recognized university or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization
No. of Publications: 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in internationally abstracted journals, recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the Higher Education Commission, is required.
2. Assistant Professor of Botany (BPS-19/TTS)
The number of vacant posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution
3. Lecturer in Tourism & Hotel Management(BPS-18)
The number of vacant posts: 02
Qualification / Experience: First Class MS/MPhil/equivalent degree awarded after 18 Years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career. Condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as lecturer in Universities or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz Ph.D. or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in the entire academic career.
4. Director Works (BPS-19)
The number of vacant posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: B.Sc Engineering (Civil) with a minimum 15 years of experience in building and mad works.
Note: The candidate must be a holder of a valid PLC registration card.
5. Deputy Director of Works (BPS-19)
The number of vacant posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: B.Sc 1st class in Civil Engineering from an HEC recognized University/Institute with 6 years of relevant experience in Government’ Semi-Government/Autonomous Organization/Department.
Note: the candidate must be a holder of a valid PEC registration card.
6. Assistant Director of Works – civil (BPS-17)
The number of vacant posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: B.Sc. 1st class in Civil Engineering from an HEC recognized University/Institute.

How to Apply: Applicant must apply on the prescribed form available on the university website (wvvw.uom.edu.pk). Certified/attested copies of all educational certificates, degrees, diplomas, transcriptslDMCs, PEC Registration Card, domicile, CNIC, experience certificates and other testimonials, three recent passport size photographs along with a bank draft or receipt/slip of NBP, University of Malakand Campus Branch (Nonrefundable) of Rs. 2,000/-in favor of the Director Finance, University of Malakand must be attached with the application form (money orders will not be accepted), for the post of professor a bank draft or receipt/slip of NBP Campus branch of Rs.4,500 (as publications evaluation fee) must also be attached with the application form. Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Organizations/Institutions must apply through proper channel with a NOC, otherwise, their application forms will be rejected. For the positions of professors four (04) sets of Publications and application form are also required to be submitted. 5. Candidates applying to more than one post and also for the same post on BPS and on TTS shall have to submit separate application forms along with application processing fee. 6. Applications on prescribed form complete in all respect should reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Meetings) latest by 05/12/2019. incomplete applications and those received after due date will not be entertained.
