Positions Announced: 

1. Chair, Department of Radiology

Details: The Department of Radiology provides modern diagnostic facilities that cater to the needs of inpatients, outpatients, and external referrals using state-of-the-art equipment such as PET CT, MRI, and CT Scans. It operates across two locations, Clifton Medical Services, and Stadium Road campus with the latter providing 24/7 services for most of its diagnostic and interventional procedures. In the academic domain, the department has a structured residency program and fellowships in Interventional Radiology, Women Imaging, and Neuroradiology and is involved in radiology training programs at all levels.

Eligibility: Candidates with an academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor with MBBS/MD and postgraduate qualifications (FOPS, FRCR, Diplomate of American Board, or equivalent qualification) are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have extensive leadership, managerial and clinical experience in a teaching hospital. They must have strong interpersonal skills, notable achievements in research and teaching as well as administrative experience at a senior level.

2. Chair, Department of Surgery

Details: The Department of Surgery is comprised of eleven (11) sections including breast surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, and dentistry. It provides the highest level of educational experiences via its clerkship and internships as well as residency and fellowship programs accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. It also hosts annual academic conferences attracting high-caliber audiences. As a leading research institute, the department integrates education and research with clinical services and has a long-standing history of providing research support to the clinical and biological sciences streams of the AKU-FHS Ph.D. program.

Eligibility: Candidates with an academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor with MBBS/MD and postgraduate qualifications (FCPS, FRCS, Diplomate of American Board of Surgery or equivalent qualification) are encouraged to apply. They must be seasoned administrators and have a well-established track record of leadership. Candidates with high productivity and experience in research funding and publications, teaching, training, and clinical service delivery are preferred. They must be able to demonstrate evidence of engaging teams and balancing multiple organizational priorities.
