Job Description:
Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for recruitment m the following posts in a PSDP Project ‘Establishment of Climate Change Reporting Unit in the Ministry of Climate Change on a contract basis.
Positions Vacant:
1. Director/ Project Manager (PPS-9)
Qualification / Experience: Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in Project Management or Environmental Sciences! Climate Change from a reputed national and international institution. Al least 12 years of experience in dealing with climate change and related projects specifically with government agencies. Experience of waking with international agencies / NGOs would be a requirement. Previous experience of working with the Ministry of Climate Change would be an added advantage. 3-5 years experience of managing PSDP and or donor-funded projects and lam/laity with project cycle management significant experience of leading a team of technic experts working for climate change. Experience of institutional linkages and capacity and awareness-raising is a must. Familiarity with the multilateral agreements with international agencies/forums and other countries specially UNFCCC. Kyoto Protocol and Pars Agreement. Familiarity with computer software (MS Office) and other statistical packages is a must.
2. Deputy Director (Coordination, Communication, and Research) (PPS-8)
Qualification / Experience: Minimum Masters degree or equivalent in Mass Commuricabon I Journalism or Media Sciences from a reputed national and international institution. At least 8 years of experience in dealing with climate change and related projects, specifically with government agencies Experience of working with international agencies/ NGOs would be a requirement. At least 5 years of the specific experience of research on climate change and data compilation, documentation and reporting (at international levels) is a must. Excellent report writing and data analysis skis are required. Hands-on experience of working with computer software (MS Office)and other statistical packages is a must
3. Assistant Director (Policy Analysis) (PPS-7)
Qualification / Experience: Minimum Masters degree or equivalent in Public Policy or Environmental Sciences / Climate Change from a reputed national and international institution Al least 5 years of experience in dealing with policy research and review, gap analysis, with speck focus on climate change. The experience of working with the Government would be a must. Excellent report writing and communications and coordination slugs are required. Hands-on experience of work rig with computer software (MS Office) is a must
4. Assistant Director (Climate Finance, CDM / NAMA) (PPS-7)
Qualification / Experience: Minimum Masters degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences I Environmental Engineering/ Climate. Change from a reputed national and international institution. At least 5 years of experience in dealing with policy research and review, gap analysis, with a specific focus on donating change. The experience of working with the Government would be a must. Excellent report working and communication and coordination skills are required. Hands-on the experience of working with Computer software (MS Office) and other statistical packages is a must.
