Positions Announced:
1. Program Coordinator
Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of the annual work plan and budget (AWPB) and associated procurement plan and ensure its timely submission to relevant forums and approvals. Ensure effective and efficient utilization of Programme funds and other resources according to the AWPB and procurement plan through supervision and monitoring. Ensure progress and other reports are produced for and submitted to the appropriate parties including I FAD on a timely basis. Maintain effective coordination with the external auditors to ensure that audit issues are resolved promptly and minimize the backlog of audit observations. Ensure effective targeting of the poor and vulnerable in target villages/valleys and mainstreaming of gender in the design, implementation, and reporting processes while addressing relevant exclusion risks. Ensure timely dissemination of Programme experience and results to relevant stakeholders within the learning community. Ensure effective linkages, liaison, and networking with other implementation partners and service providers either working in the Programme area or implementation partners and service providers either working in the Programme area or potential concern with Programme activities and with other relevant interventions.
Qualification / Experience: Master-level educational attainment in social or management science, business administration, economics, development studies, public administration, or any other relevant discipline. At least 15 years experience at a similar level, including management of donor-funded rural development projects focusing on infrastructure development, policy reforms, and agricultural value chain development. Demonstrated experience in land administration, land titling water policy, and/or infrastructure planning. Strong communication, team building, and management skills, and, Sound understanding of the context of GB customary practices, policy environment, and socio-economic dynamics. The Upper Age Limit for the position is 55 years. This position will be filled on a contract basis for 1 year extendable until the end of the project based on performance evaluation.
