The Aga Khan University has announced new positions in its Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is part of the University’s Division of Women and Child Health. It offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services for women including general and high-risk obstetrics, subfertility, reproductive endocrinology, gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, and general gynaecological disorders. It also offers a four-year residency training programme and a range of fellowships. Positions Vacant:
1. Professor
Duties and Responsibilities: Actively participate in teaching and undertake academic initiatives that will have an impact on the quality and delivery of service. Provide exemplary care through clinical practices. Initiate and conduct independent research as well as seek extramural grants, and strive for the advancement of research. Participate in reviewing and developing the course outline. Publish articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals. Serve as a mentor for junior faculty and students.
Qualification and experience required: The candidate should have FCPS, FRCOG or equivalent qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology with at least ten years of postgraduate teaching and research experience in an HEC-recognised university or a postgraduate institution, out of which at least five years of experience as an Associate Professor. You should have a sustained and consistent record of excellence with notable achievements in research and teaching. You should have a strong track record of research publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals recognised by a national and international agency or an academic authority in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
