10 Billion Tree Tsunami Programme (TBTTP) is a Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) funded Project aimed to combat climate change through enhancement of forestry cover in the country. It is a flagship project of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and is being implemented across Pakistan including 04 provinces, AJK. GB and Federal Territory The Ministry of Climate Change Islamabad has the mandate to oversee the overall implementation of the project. The Forest. Wildlife and Environment Department of Gilgit-Baltistan is implementing the GB component of the project. About 10 billion plants are to be planted under this project during the corning 5 to 10 years’ time. Gilgit-Baltistan has a target of planting/protecting 170 million plants Out of that 50 million plants including 10 million fruit plants will be planted directly while protecting 120 million naturally regenerated seedlings in the natural forest through Forest Enclosures. Qualification / Experience required for the following vacant position: MSc / BSc / BS in Forestry, Wildlife, Environment or GIS from HEC recognized university. Having domicile from Gilgit Baltistan
Duration of the internship program: Internship duration 06 months Per month stipend: Rs. 15000/month
