Positions Announced:
1. Wing Head – Litigation (Central) (VP / SVP)
Minimum graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC Candidates having LL.B / LL.M degrees will be preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of litigation Candidates having litigation experience in a bank(s) and/or large-scale/public sector organization(s) will be preferred. Well aware of SBP Prudential Regulations Excellent knowledge of relevant banking / civil/criminal laws Good supervision and people management skills Goal oriented, result driven with the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks with strict deadlines
Responsibilities: To oversee litigation across assigned regions covering recovery, HR-related matters, and other contentious and non-contentious issues To liaise with external counsels, facilitate in preparing pleads and arguments, vetting of pleads, and ensure court visits by litigation team To negotiate and oversee payment(s) of professional fee and other expenses To handle complaints received from Human Rights Cell of Supreme Court of Pakistan, external agencies i.e. Banking / Wafaqi Mohtasib, FIA, NAB, etc. To facilitate the business groups in identifying legal risks and provide legal protection and risk management advice accordingly To provide assistance to stakeholders for compliance with the directives /orders of the courts and vet draft comments and speaking orders To ensure an efficient and motivated team by continuously providing leadership, supervision, training, and development To maintain MIS of Legal cases and charges registered To coordinate with internal and external audit team(s) To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
