Positions Announced:
1. Advocates
Description of work includes: • Panel Advocates shall provide legal opinion/endorsement/recommendations on matters relating to taxation, services, and all matters related to Customs and other allied laws. • Shall appear before the various courts as required or in the directions of the department. • Help in preparation of para-wise comments wherever required for vetting by the department for submission before the courts and assist the department in acquiring court documents. • Convey the court’s directions and decisions to the department well in time.
Required Qualification and Eligibility: • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Law. • In case the degree is obtained from a foreign university, an equivalence certificate from HEC has to be submitted by the candidate. • Enrolled in Pakistan Bar Council as Advocate High Court. • At least 3 years practice/experience as Advocate of High Court in Custom taxation, service, and allied matters. • Having a good reputation and sound professional competence. • In the case of retired officers of FBR who have served in Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) for at least ten years, a minimum of one year of experience as an Advocate High Court is required. • Excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills in English and Urdu.
