Positions Vacant:
1. Manager Taxation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the tax returns preparation and filing in compliance with Federal and Provincial tax laws.
- Manage tax functions in an automated environment and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Overall responsibility of the tax function of the company and associated/subsidiary companies including tax planning, strategy, reporting, tax compliance. etc.
- Lead the tax support team, manage tax audits, assessments, proceedings, litigations, and other tax exposures of the company.
- Evaluate potential tax consequences in agreements/contracts and various business projects.
- Deal with Customs, Federal and Provincial Tax authorities in addition to internal and external stakeholders such as GOP and other regulatory authorities.
- Provide strategic direction in all taxation matters and implement financial policies and processes ensuring a high degree of financial discipline and tax compliance.
- Prepare timely and reliable reporting of financial results related to tax matters.
Qualification / Experience required for the following: The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience of at least 12 years in reputed national or multinational organizations. Experience of working in Big 4 tax firms will be an added advantage. Age limit 1s 45 years. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of the taxation system, financial modeling, and financial reporting standards applicable in Pakistan and be well versed in taxation laws and regulations such as Direct/Indirect Taxation, Customs & Excise, Tax Planning & Strategies, Tax Assessments/Litigations, Risks and Compliance with Tax Regulations and other finance functions like accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, etc.
