The National Academy of Performing Arts, Karachi, Pakistan’s preeminent institution for education, training, and rendition in drama and music invites applications for the position of Head of Music.

Positions Announced:

1. Head of Music

Applicants should possess knowledge of music as a universal mode of human expression, with particular reference to the music of South, Central, and West Asia, and to the rich heritage of Pakistani classical, folk, and contemporary music. Academic qualification in this sphere will be relevant as a consideration, but not essential.

Responsibilities: The Head of Music is required to oversee teachers and specialists in diverse disciplines and instruments who will impart learning and guidance with special attention to each individual student’s potential. Applicants need not be notably proficient in one or more disciplines, vocal or instrumental, but should be well-versed in them. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and be required to work in collaboration with the Advisor on Music and other experts. Candidates are also expected to represent NAPA in cooperative interactions with other institutions.
