Positions Announced:
1. Member (Power) WAPDA
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITY:
The Member (Power) shall perform the following functions, as defined in WAPDA Act. 1958, namely:-Planning. construction, operation, and maintenance of power plants Planning, rehabilitation, and refurbishment of old hydel power plants: Management of consultants and contractors during various phases of electromechanical works of hydropower project Maintain coordination with national grid system, power control, dispatch, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC). National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Central Power Purchasing Agency Guarantee (CPPAG), and other power sector-related entities. Management of local and foreign procurement in line with the Pakistan Engineering Council’s Guidelines, rules made under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Ordinance. 2002 (XXII of 2002) and other protocols Administrative and financial management of all formations of Hydel Power Wing of the Authority.
Qualification and experience required for the following vacant position: The candidate must possess a graduate degree in electrical or electronic or mechanical engineering or an equivalent degree to these from a university or institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission. The candidate must possess at the time of his appointment professional experience of not less than twenty years with at least five years of experience at a senior technical or managerial level position.
