We are looking for a talented and highly motivated lawyer for the position of ‘Legal Advisor & Company Secretary’ reporting to the Head of Commercial. This position is based in Karachi. Job Profile:
Advising on all legal aspects of matters concerning the Company including agreements and contracts, negotiations on business ventures/initiatives, potential exposure, and liability to the Company. Managing Company Secretarial matters. Rendering legal advice to the Company’s management, technical, operational, financial, human resource, and administrative disciplines. Manage legal disputes/ challenges to ensure the best possible outcome for the Company. Work with external legal counsels on litigation matters and devise a strategy to best protect Company’s interests. Attend external meetings to negotiate, prepare and amend agreements. Liaison with Joint Venture Partners and regulatory authorities.
Qualification and experience required for the following vacant position: Advocate/ Barrister with 8 to 10 years of relevant corporate advisory experience, including working with reputable law firms preferably having exposure to the E&P sector. Ability to work independently and autonomously. A team player has well-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills.
