The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has received Credit from the International DevelopmentAssociation (IDA) of the World Bank Group for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Hiring Consulting Services of Social Development Specialist through this Request for Expression Interest (RE01).
Positions Announced:
1. Social Development Specialist
Qualification and Experience of the Consultant are Master’s degree in social sciences/ development studies/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Environmental Sciences/ Gender/Women’s Studies or another related field. At least five (5) years of experience in social safeguards, community engagement, planning, implementation, and complaints resolution/grievance redress management. Knowledge of practices and cultures of communities affected by the project. Language Skills: Fluency in written and oral English, and Urdu. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and willingness to travel extensively to project sites. Female applicants are encouraged to apply.

Selection of the Individual Consultant will be made in accordance with the World Bank Procurement Regulations (Procurement in Investment Project Financing, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services. July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018) through Open National Competition. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. In addition, please refer to paragraph 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations regarding specific information on conflict of interest related to this assignment. Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Paragraphs 7.36 & 7.37 of 7.36 & 7.37 of “World Bank: Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services” (July 2016) revised November 2017 &August 2018.
