Public Health Engineering Department is remitted to provide potable water and sanitation centers to the rural populace and making plans and creation of mega water supply and, sewerage and drainage schemes in city regions. Established in 1974, upgraded to the administrative department in 1992, merged with the C&W department in 2001, re-established in November 2009 as an unbiased administrative branch. The department has 02 CEs, 13 SE/DD, 35 Xens/DE, 73 SDOS/ ADEs, 156 S/Es, 1426 support group of workers and 9292 operational personnel. Provision of secure ingesting water and sanitation centers to the human beings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a greenway at an affordable value with none discrimination to sell health, hygiene, and cleaner environment”.
