International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, University of Karachi invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts mentioned below:
Positions Vacant:
1. LIBRARIAN BPS-17 (Rs. 30,370-2,300-76,370) Plus all admissible allowances under university rules
Qualification / Experience: Candidate should have Masters of Library and Information System (MLIS) degree from HEC recognized University / Institution with a good academic carrier. Ideal candidate should have at least 5-8 years working experience as a Librarian /Assistant Librarian in a reputable organization with hands-on experience in managing library material (computer operation, scrutinize journals, e-books, e-journal, books digitalization of library material, library day to day activities, etc.) and having good knowledge of computer and networking would be preferred.
2. TECHNICAL MANAGER (Rs. 2,00,000- (1) GENOME CENTER 2,50,000) Qualification / Experience: Candidate should hold a Ph. D. in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/Genetics/ /Biotechnology from an HEC recognized university/institution, having experience of working as a Forensic DNA analyst, supervising a Forensic DNA and Serology laboratory and training from reputable foreign Forensic laboratories. Furthermore: candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience of court testimonies and awareness of the legal system will be preferred.
3. RESEARCH OFFICERS (Rs. 60,000- (2) GENOME CENTER 80.000) Qualification / Experience: Candidates should have an M. Phil/ MS degree from HEC recognized university in the field of Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Genetics. Candidates with sound knowledge of molecular biology/genetics and experience in forensic sciences/genotyping/sequencing will be preferred.
4. RESEARCH OFFICERS (Rs. 60,000- (1) PCMD 80,000)
Qualification / Experience: Candidates should have an M. Phil./ MS degree from an HEC recognized university in the field of Neurophysiology with research experience in the effective use of the patch-clamp technique for neurophysiology research.
5. RESEARCH OFFICERS (Rs. 100,000- (1) NTD PROJECT 125,000)
Qualification / Experience: Candidate should have a Ph. D. degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution in Microbiology / Molecular Medicine preferably having an experience of cell lines/cell culture studies during Ph. D. The selected candidates will be worked on research projects related to infectious disease leishmania.
