In Fall 2008, the institute released an undergraduate software in the area of Materials Science & Engineering, in addition to a graduate software in Communication Engineering. Starting from autumn 2011, the institute is launching an additional undergraduate program in the area of Electrical Engineering in preference to Communication Systems Engineering. Apart from these indigenous programs, the institute is participating with Beihang University (BUAA), Northern Polytechnic University (NPU), China, and University of Surrey (UniS), the UK to provide connected master’s packages in more than dozen areas. The undergraduate packages presented through IST are permitted by using the Higher Education Commission and authorized Pakistan Engineering Council.
