Positions Announced:
1. MANAGER TECHNICAL SERVICES – KARACHI
As Manager of Technical Services, you will play a leading role in managing the technical accounting and financial reporting matters by formulating technical opinions, developing publications, and engaging with the stakeholders. You would report to the Director of Technical Services. The position is responsible to provide proactive support to Director on technical matters and projects. Prepare papers, presentations, and publications on technical topics through extensive research and analysis. Coordinate and interact with the Members, Advisory Group, Regulators, and Standard-setters of other jurisdictions. Coach and mentor junior staff through sharing experience and knowledge.
Qualification / Experience required for the following positions: The candidate must be a Chartered Accountant with more than 2 years of post-qualification experience. He/she must have expertise in analyzing technical auditing and financial reporting matters using ISAs and IFRS. Ability to prepare technical opinions and presentations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholder groups with diverse views. Managerial experience of the firm’s audit or financial advisory service line would be beneficial.
2. DEPUTY MANAGER-ANTI MONEY LAUNDERING (AML) SUPERVISION DEPARTMENT (KARACHI)
Deputy Manager AML Supervision Department will assist the Head of Department in managing the AML / CFT supervisory activities of the Institute in line with the AML regulations issued by the Institute. The candidate shall independently carry out offsite/onsite inspection of the practicing firms in line with the requirements of the AML Regulations. He/She shall ensure timely completion of the projects, including compliance reviews and reporting aspects.
Qualification / Experience required for the following position: The ideal candidate should be a Professional Accounting Affiliate (ICAP) or Member of any other Professional Accountancy body with at least 1-year experience or a Master’s degree holder with 3 years of experience working in the AML / CFT compliance function of an AML / CFT supervisor, or a financial institution. He / She should have understanding of Pakistan AML / CFT legislation, FATF Recommendations and International AML / CFT practices. He / She should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to effectively lead meetings with external stakeholders.
