Applications are invited for the following posts in the Project Implementation Unit of Foreign Funded Project in Local Government Department, Government of Sindh purely on a contract basis. Staff appointed under the project will be purely on contractual basis drawing a salary from the project financed by the World Bank.

1. Procurement / Contract Management Specialist
Number of posts: 02
Qualification / Experience: Masters’s Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or MBA (Project Management) 15 years minimum working experience in procurement of goods, services. consultancies and contract management Hands-on working experience on standard procurement documents Procurement Experience of Donor Funded Project Excellent writing and communication skills to draft documents with hands-on computer skills (MS Office and MS Project).
2. Social Safeguard Specialist
Number of posts: 01
Qualification / Experience: Bachelor’s’ I Masters degree in Social Sciences (development studies, resettlement planning, sociology, human geography, anthropology) 15 years experience in resettlement management, implementation of social safeguards in infrastructure projects especially in Urban Settings. Strong knowledge of the social safeguards policies and environmental and social frameworks, and compliance requirements of IFIs (e.g. World Bank. Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. JICA, etc.) Strong knowledge of relevant Federal, provincial, and local laws, standards, regulations. and policies. Strong knowledge of methods, techniques. and practices for resettlement planning, social impact assessments and surveys. Excellent report writing and communication skills in Urdu and English. Hands-on computer skills (MS Office complete).
3. Environment Safeguard Specialist

Qualification / Experience: Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences I Engineering 15 years relevant experience in preparation and implementation, and monitoring/supervision of environmental impact assessment and environmental management plan of various projects, preferably in municipal services sector Well versed with national and international standards for Environment Quality Experience in occupational health and safety and community health and safety is preferred. Experience of similar work on World Bank Financed projects using the World Bank Safeguard Policies and EHS Guidelines and procedures will be a strong advantage. Excellent writing and oral communication skills, in both English and Urdu. to deliver complex technical documents. reports Hands-on computer skills (MS Office complete)
4. Manager Technical (Civil)

Qualification / Experience: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering more than 20 years’ experience in sub-projects development and executions (Preferably in Municipal Environment of the province) Experience in conceptual planning. documentation and procurement of goods. works and execution of works related to various fields of Civil Engineering. Familiarize with public sector tendering/contracting principles and practices
5. Assistant Manager of Finance

Qualification / Experience: ACA, ACMA. ACCA. MBA (Finance), Masters in Accounting and Finance, or MS Finance, M. Com. 05 years relevant post-qualification experience in financial management Prior experience of working in donor-funded and public sector projects will be accorded due weight Demonstrated Computer Skill (Proficiency in using computer desktop application MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
