Positions Announced:
1. Health Advisor
A Post-Graduate degree /master’s in public or community health from a recognized institution and/or At least 10 years of relevant experience in a management capacity in the health sector in Pakistan, including work at a strategic level, with strong policy awareness and analytical capacity; Demonstrated experience of 5 years or more in providing analysis and advice, for senior decision-makers in donor agencies, government, civil society organisations or private sector In depth working knowledge of the specific thematic areas within the health sector in Pakistan, including: National Health Vision, National Human Resource for Health vision; health systems; primary health care, Polio Eradication, routine immunization including Integrated Service Delivery, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights/Family Planning 2030, Legal framework governing the public/private health sector, Publicly-funded health sector and of the evolution and implementation of relevant ordinances and plans in the health sector in Pakistan, Health and demographic research experience. Current health sector challenges in Pakistan, at the national, provincial, district, and societal levels, Impact of current overall social/political/economic/policy issues in Pakistan and the region, particularly as these affect the health sector in Pakistan, Networks, and key players in the Health sector in Pakistan. Experience working with government departments and agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences, and the interpersonal skills to cultivate a genuine commitment to Health objectives among GAC interlocutors and partners; Experience working at a strategic level, with strong policy awareness and analytical capacity: Experience in implementation of SRHR activities in hard-to-reach population areas; Experience working with community groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, preferably in some or all of GAC’s priority sectors;
