Positions Announced:
1. Research Associates
Job Role: The selected candidates will work in a fast-paced environment to develop Al applications to address Pakistan’s growing health care needs. This team of researchers will be using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced mathematical /statistical techniques for applications of data for automated and early diagnosis of diseases. Potential applications include diabetic retinopathy, digital pathology. personalized medicine, automated medical image analysis, virtual reality for medical training, and clinical decision support systems for improving the performance of medical professionals, loT based health care solutions, and helping clinicians for the right prognosis. Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates. The selected candidates may get opportunities to pursue Ph.D. in Computer Science.
Qualification / Experience / Skills: Candidates should have MS / M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Hands-on Experience with machine learning frameworks (Pytorch / TensorFlow Calle) pipelines, and workflows; leveraging cloud infrastructure for training and serving models; implementing architectures published in academic papers and/or developing new algorithms and tuning machine learning models for specific use cases. Knowledge of Computer Science Fundamentals & Programming using Computer Languages e.g., Python, C/C++ and related. Knowledge in Data Science and Visualization Tools such as (e.g., Matplotli/ Jupyter Notebooks/ Numpy / Pandas). Practical Experience in developing Al Applications using real-world datasets. Exposure to cloud computing frameworks or high-performance computing will be added benefit. The selected candidates may be offered the opportunity of a fully sponsored Ph.D. program in local and foreign universities as per the retention agreement.
