Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO). a leading public electric utility Company, endeavoring to provide uninterrupted electric supply to more than 4.1 million valued consumers with more than 17000 employees is seeking the services of an experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented professional to work as Deputy Manager (Legal) as part of its team. who can undertake the challenging assignment effectively.

Positions Announced:

1. Deputy Manager (Legal)

Candidate should have a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s in Law
(LLB), Master in Law (LLM) from reputable HEC recognized Universities
will be given preference. The candidate must have a minimum of 08 years of experience (including 02 years in the Power Sector) along with corporate law, regulatory or commercial affairs. The experience in relevant fields will be given preference. The candidate advertisement) having an understanding of legal and regulatory affairs associated with the
Power Sector’s Laws, Rules & Regulations, etc. The contractual framework for power/energy sales and purchases will be preferred. Knowledge of competitive electricity markets will be an added advantage.

JOB PROFILE:

He will recommend the Counsel’s fee as per the schedule of fees approved by the authority. He will obtain the sanction of the fee for the grant of the special fee. He will maintain the performance record of advocates. Engagement of Counsels will depend on their performance and merit.
He will submit a monthly progress report. He will refer the case to a Legal Advisor for candid legal opinion where deemed necessary. He will assist the Chief Law Officer / GEPCO Management in all matters of Legal & Labour, and be responsible for performing duties duly assigned by the authority.
