Positions Vacant:
1. Advocacy Officer
Roles / Purpose:
The Advocacy Officer works alongside the Advocacy Manager in organizing the activities of the unit. The primary focus is on assisting in the implementation of Brooke Pakistan advocacy plans. The officer will help in lesioning with internal teams and external stakeholders for the support, follow-ups and completion of advocacy tasks. In general. he/she assists the Advocacy Manager in the ongoing initiatives and acts as a resource to both Brooke staff and outside partners/stakeholders.
Qualification / Experience required for the job: Degree in Sociology, Social Work, development studies, public policy, political science, and other relevant degrees. Minimum 2 – 4 years post qualification relevant experience. substantial work experience in advocacy, development/ humanitarian response, or international affairs. Ability to review policies and laws to identify gaps and suggest solutions. Ability to write concept notes, proposals, and policy briefs. Understanding of advocacy and campaigning work, and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences. The ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a small team.
