Job Description:
National Centre for Physics, Islamabad requires individuals for the following post on a contract basis. Selection criteria will be as admissible to Public Sector Organizations.
Positions Vacant:
1. Senior Scientific Officer (BPS-18)
Ph.D. in the following fields:
a. Theoretical Physics Plasma Physics, High Energy Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Mathematical Physics, Astrophysics & Cosmology, and Math Modeling and Simulation.
b. Experimental High Energy Physics Physics Data Analysis, Semiconductor Detector, and Gaseous Detector, Neutrino Physics.
c. NanoSciences & Technology Smart Materials, Synthesis, Environmental Materials, Energy Materials, and Nano Biotechnology.
d. Experimental Physics Accelerator Operations, Environmental Science & Industrial Application, Material Sciences, Ion Beam Analysis, TOF Mass Spectrometry & PLD and LIBS & Fiber Laser Produced Plasma.
e. Advanced Scientific Computing Network/System Administration, Software Development
Max age limit required for the job: 35 years
2. Scientific Assistant-II (BPS-8)
Qualification / Experience: Fsc (1st Div). Candidates having experience in repair and maintenance of the Electronics Lab would be preferred.

3. Senior Lab Attendant (BPS-6)
Qualification / Experience: Matric with Science minimum 2nd Div (at least 50% marks) with 6 years experience (post qualification) in Chemistry Lab.
Max Age limit required for the job: 35 years
Note: Maximum one 2nd Division is allowed in the entire academic career. The 3rd Division is not acceptable. 1st Division to a degree means a minimum of 60% marks for Annual System or CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 for Semester System and 2nd Division means a minimum of 50% marks for Annual System or CGPA 2.0 out of 4.0 for Semester System. Candidates must have obtained educational degrees/certificates from the institutions/ universities duly recognized by the Government/Higher Education Commission (HEC). The appointment is subject to verification of educational/other documents and antecedents. If the document(s) of any appointee is found fake/forged after induction, he/she shall be liable to disciplinary action. Age limit is 18 to 35 years on closing date of advertisement. However, the upper age limit shall be relaxed in accordance with the rules.
