The Forest & Wildlife Department, Government of Sindh has received grant financing from National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) under Pakistan Hydromet and Climate Services Project/PHCSP funded by the World Bank. Under the aforesaid grant financing Sindh Forest & Wildlife Department has launched a development project titled “Restoration of Riverine, Inland, Mangroves, Dryland & Urban Ecosystems of Sindh Province’ and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the grant to payments for the following “National Individual Consultants’ Services”, to be procured under this project. The Project Development Objective is to restore the productivity of various Forest Ecosystems like the Riverine. Inland. Mangroves. Dryland and Urban Forestry in Sindh province. Forest & Wildlife Department, Government of Sindh, now invites eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the services. Positions Announced:
1. Environment & Social Safeguard Specialist
At least Masters’s Degree in relevant fields I.e. Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Agriculture, and Forestry from a foreign or local university, duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Minimum eight (08) years of relevant experience in developing and implementing Environment and Social Safeguard Documents. Experience in the World Bank-funded projects for public sector development projects will be accorded due weightage. Candidates with Environment & Safeguards experience in forestry, wildlife, and tourism sector projects funded by development organizations shall be accorded more weightage.
2. Procurement Specialist
At least a Masters’s Degree In Business Administration / Management Sciences / Economics / Commerce/ Accounting / Supply Chain, Logistics, or any other related field from a foreign or local university, duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Minimum eight (08) years of professional working experience related to Procurement and Contract Management.
